In today’s day and age, it is difficult to find a knowledgeable technician who can service your audio gear properly. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much for their owners. In 99% of the cases, only a few parts were replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job.A proper restoration must replace all electrolytic, paper, film, oil capacitors. Do not fall for partial kits. This is not a good or proper way to restore your audio equipment. It is the same as with car tires; one should never replace just one tire and keep the other worn-out tires on. A proper rebuild requires a full recap of all oil, paper, lytic capacitors.On the other hand, if one succeeds in finding a good tech, the wait time is usually 6-12 months for the unit to be serviced, and costs are sky-high. I have been servicing audio equipment for many years and have developed deep respect for all good equipment. Knowing how amazing and warm these units can sound, I decided to put together this kit. It includes very good upgrades and improvements that must be done to the unit. This restoration kit will make a huge difference in the sound quality. NEW Replacement DYNACO Knob (3/4″ diameter) – SILVER Machined Aluminum

You are bidding on (1) NEW replacement knob for Dynaco audio equipment, this knob replaces the small silver knob with indicator line (Dynaco P/N 764187). Knob includes the set screw. These are high quality silver, solid aluminum machined knobs in the correct size and the styling is almost identical to the original Dynaco knob. They look great with both silver and gold (champagne) faceplates. This knob is equivalent to Dynaco P/N 764187; size is 3/4″ in diameter and 5/8″ tall, the knob fits 1/4″ shafts. We also carry the larger size knob in matching styling; available in our eBay store. Brand new, unused fresh stock. Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Dynaco PAS2 preamplifier. If your Dyna PAS preamp has a brass faceplate, this is the kit for you. If it has a silver-colored faceplate, that is the PAS3 or PAS3X and that kit is available here. This kit includes replacements for all of the old molded paper and electrolytic capacitors on these preamplifiers, including individual capacitors to replace the 4-section can capacitor. It also includes two resistors and 2 terminal strips to aid in replacing the can capacitor and the two big power supply caps, and 2 diodes to replace the selenium rectifier. This kit includes the following:22 Supertech 630v axial MPT film capacitors1 Kemet safety disc capacitor (to replace the .02 uf cap wired across the power switch) 2 Supertech 2200 uf 25v axial caps (for the power supply)4 Supertech radial 450v capacitors (to replace the can capacitor) 2 1N4007 diodes3 resistors2 terminal stripsInstructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all at the same uf ratings (except the electrolytics go up a tiny bit) and the same or higher voltage ratings. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. The film capacitors are all the same uf values, even the .002 uf, .004 uf, .05 uf, and .0075 uf caps. No one else offers the exact replacement values! I had these custom-made in order to offer the best replacement parts. I will include fairly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a decent desoldering iron.
