The scarcity of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment inspired me to create this restoration kit. In today’s day and age, it is difficult to find a knowledgeable technician who can service your audio gear properly. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much for their owners. In 99% of the cases, only a few parts were replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job.A proper restoration must replace all electrolytic capacitors on all boards. Do not fall for partial kits that restore just one PCB (power supply, power amp, etc.). This is not a good or proper way to restore your audio equipment. It is the same as with car tires; one should never replace just one tire and keep the other worn-out tires on. A proper rebuild requires a full recap of all PCBs.On the other hand, if one succeeds in finding a good tech, the wait time is usually 6-12 months for the unit to be serviced, and costs are sky-high. I have been servicing audio equipment for many years and have developed deep respect for all good equipment. Knowing how amazing and warm these units can sound, I decided to put together this kit. It includes very good upgrades and improvements that must be done to the unit. This restoration kit will make a huge difference in the sound quality. All the parts are of high-quality Japanese Nichicon / Rubycon / IC / United Chemi capacitors.I am extremely particular about the quality of the parts provided in this kit. Knowing how many bogus/fake caps, diodes, resistors, etc. are out there, I source all the parts from reputable wholesalers and buy them in bulk. Vintage audio equipment has the potential to deliver rich and authentic sound when it is properly restored. Heathkit AR-1500 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Set
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Heathkit AR-1500 receiver. This includes replacements for all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the AR-1500, and includes new main filter capacitors and new mounting clamps, as the old ones are much too large. This kit is for the AR-1500, it will not work for the AR-1500A. Unfortunately I do not have access to a free service manual, but you shouldn’t need it for the rebuild. New capacitors are Supertech axial, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, one Vishay safety disc cap, and two Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v main filter capacitors. All axial capacitors are replaced with new axial capacitors except the 2 uf 70v caps, which are replaced with new radial Nichicon PW 2.2 uf 100v caps, and the bipolar 250 uf 4v caps, which are replaced with new radial Nichicon Muse 220 uf 10v bipolar caps. Most new capacitors will go higher in voltage compared to the originals. Some new capacitors will have minor capacitance changes (500 uf replaced with 470 uf, 250 uf replaced with 220 uf, 2 uf replaced with 2.2 uf). All tantalum capacitors are replaced with low-leakage Nichicon KL caps. The new main filter caps are Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v caps, and include new mounting clamps. You may need to drill holes in the chassis to mount the new clamps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your receiver, but it’s pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $8, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 13 different values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, and more. Just use “add to cart” on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.

Sansui 8 eight receiver replacement front LED lamps bulbs lights kit set
Please note we also offer a FULL kit with INSTRUCTIONS ———–> LINKOr search for item (eBay item number:155126516017) As someone who has serviced many various vintage audio equipment for a considerable amount of time, I have developed a deep admiration for good quality gear. However, I have noticed that many of these units suffer from constantly failing incandescent bulbs, resulting in wasted money on services to replace them time and time again. After years of dealing with this issue, I decided to take matters into my own hands and develop an LED replacement that would match the color temperature and angle of the light. Through my research and collaboration with a manufacturer of LED bulbs, I was able to develop a perfect replacement that not only matches the color temperature but also offers a 360-degree lighting angle compared to the 120-degree angle of regular LED bulbs. This LED replacement has the correct voltage and is sure to save users time and money in the long run. I am thrilled with the results of my efforts and confident that this LED replacement will be a game-changer. Say goodbye to constantly replacing incandescent bulbs and hello to the reliable and efficient lighting of LED technology. The kit contains lamps as follows: 5 x 6.3v dial/meters fuse lamps 8 x 7v (5mm) lamps – indicators. Bi-pin wired 1 x 3mm bi-pin 7v wired lamp – pointer 1 x bayonet lamp 1 x bi-pin lamp 60000 hours working time. Color – warm white. Replacement Grill KLH Model Eight Radio & Thirteen Speaker EGGSHELL White NEW
High quality grill replacement for KLH Model Eight and Thirteen speakers, off-white/eggshell color. Brown is NOT the correct color for KLH Eight grills, despite nearly all of them looking that way today. If you peel off the KLH badge or flip the original grill over, you can see they are white, or close to it. Please have a look at the photos I’ve included, it shows the difference quite well. If your Model Eight is like most, the original speaker grill is probably damaged, stained, yellowed, or just plain missing. If you’ve taken the time and effort to refinish the beautiful walnut cabinets (or are planning to), the old grill can look out of place. If you are lucky enough to have an Eight with mint cabinets, a new grill will restore it’s original appearance. Cabs a little worn? New grills will freshen things right up. Have a model Thirteen to go with your Eight, but the grilles are different? Now you can finally match them up. KLH’s original grill material is a fairly rigid nylon weave that turns brown with time and exposure to UV light, dirt, and cigarette smoke. The new grill is a semi-rigid, acoustically transparent fabric that replicates the original weave almost perfectly. This one is off white, and as mentioned is as close to original as you can get. It also looks superb with white-knobbed Model Eights. The new fabric has been cut to the exact dimensions of the old grill and slips into the recess in the front of the cabinet in exactly the same way. All new grills are test-fit before shipping. Please be aware there are slight differences in the Eight speaker cabinets over the years-some are solid walnut, others are veneer, and regardless of construction type, they are not all exactly the same size. Should you receive a grill that won’t fit properly, simply contact me for a solution. This listing is for ONE GRILL ONLY. No radio, speaker, or KLH badge are included, photos are samples to show the finished look. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Sansui Eight Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui Eight receiver. This is not for the Eight Deluxe, just the regular Eight. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Sansui Eight driver boards, tone/AM board, switch board, phono EQ board, power supply board, and tuner boards, as well as replacements for the three chassis-mount capacitors. This does not include output transistors, lights, or fuses. If you need new output transistors, the correct replacements are four MJ21196G (replaces 2SC1079) and are available here. This kit includes the following: Driver boards: 4 capacitors (Nichicon KL)4 transistors (Onsemi) Phono EQ board: 10 capacitors (Nichicon KL, Wima film)6 transistors (Onsemi) Power supply board: 16 capacitors (Nichicon PW)2 transistors (Onsemi) Preamp/tone control boards:25 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Wima film)11 transistors (Onsemi) Tuner boards: 23 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Wima film)5 transistors (Onsemi) Other: 2 main capacitors (Chemi-Con 10000 uf 63v)2 35mm clamps (to install the new main capacitors)1 chassis-mount power supply capacitor (Epcos/TDK 1200 uf 100v, the exact correct size for the original clamp)2 Panasonic film capacitors (bypass caps for the main filters)2 resistors (for the main filters) 2 Kemet safety disc capacitors Instructions These are extremely high-quality genuine parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage, except for the three chassis-mount caps, which go up in capacitance a bit. The original main filter capacitors are 2.5″ in diameter, and there are no modern replacements that will fit the clamps without going WAY up in capacitance. The replacements in the kit are 35mm in diameter, and you can either gut the old caps and restuff them with these new capacitors, or you can use the new clamps to install the new main filter caps. You will need to reuse the nuts/bolts and mounting hardware from the old clamps, and will need to drill mounting holes for the new clamps, which should be pretty easy. This kit does not include parts to rebuild the F-1334 “crowbar” circuit, which is in some but not all Sansui Eights. The F-1334 board, if you have it, should just be disconnected and removed from the receiver, rather than recapped. Some Sansui Eights have a relay, though most do not. If you need the relay, that is available here. Just use “add to cart” on everything you want, then go to your cart and click “request total from seller.” I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W, 75W, or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. This listing is for 1 x FULL kit for Sansui eight deluxe. ———- The scarcity of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment made me start offering this restoration kit.In today’s day and age it is very hard to come by a knowledgeable tech who can service your audio gear well. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much to its owners. In 99% of the cases there were only few parts replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job. On the other hand, if one succeeds in finding a good tech, a wait time is usually 6-12 months for the unit to be serviced and costs is sky-high!!! In this kit I offer parts and instructions for a full/complete restoration of your audio equipment. I have been servicing audio equipment for many years and have developed deep respect toward all good equipment. I really do think they sound amazing if properly restored. I have seen many bad quality restorations/fix jobs done to these units that made them sound cheap and very low quality. Knowing how amazing and warm these units can sound, I have decided to develop this kit to help you do a great job on your equipment. It includes very good upgrades and improvements that MUST be done to the unit. Please do your audio equipment a favor and replace the most important components that are most likely 90% dead. Power / Filter stage caps are those large silver cans mounted on top of the chassis and sometimes underneath. This restoration pack will make a huge difference in the sound quality. DO not fall for partial kits that restore just one board ( power supply, power amp etc). Not only they supply inferior quality caps, but also trying to sell you a very bad idea of doing a partial recap. This is not a good/proper way to restore your audio equipment.
