Sansui F-2547 Protection Board Rebuild Receiver Recap Kit – 8080 9090 890 990

Up for sale here is this Sansui F-2547 protection board rebuild set. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild an F-2547 protection board for a Sansui 8080, 9090, 890, or 990. This is not for the Sansui 8080DB or 9090DB, that one is available here. Over time the protection boards start developing issues with the capacitors, transistors, resistors, and relay, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes enough parts to replace all the electrolytic capacitors (including the two bipolar caps), all four transistors, the two fuse resistors, the R12 resistor that takes a beating, and the relay. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, and Wima film caps at the correct uf and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors, and the relay is a new Omron part. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui gear. Just replacing the capacitors is a waste of time–you need to replace the transistors, fuse resistors, and the relay as well, which is why this kit covers all that. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but this is a fairly complicated and delicate rebuild, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester. The instructions will explain how to access the protection board, and will also explain the 8080/9090 service bulletin and the “light mod” that keeps the tuning dial lit no matter which source is selected. This kit may not fix your Sansui if it has other issues, but it will definitely help it run better, and should fix almost any protection board problems. Please see my pictures for details. 5 New Sansui Lever Knobs for 8080 9090 9090DB Receiver Loudness Tone Mode Toggle

Up for sale here is this set of 5 brand new knobs. These are beautiful brushed-aluminum knobs and look amazing. They will fit the Sansui lever knobs on the 8080, 9090, and 9090DB. The 8080 uses two of these for the Loudness and Mode toggles, the 9090 uses four for the Loudness, Mode, and Bass/Treble tone defeat levers, and the 9090DB uses two for the Bass/Treble tone defeat levers. These are almost identical to the old lever knobs, but they are a little shinier. I would probably just replace all of them if you want them to match. These measure 16mm long and 7.9mm in diameter. The old lever knobs measure 15.3mm long and 8mm in diameter, so these are almost identical. These will fit the pushbuttons as well, but they are not as wide as the old ones. These have a 3.3mm square hole, so it’s about 4.3mm diagonally. These have square holes, but they will fit the lever shaft perfectly if you line up the shaft diagonally in the knob hole. These are for the lever knobs, NOT the pushbuttons. They are not the same size as the pushbuttons. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18, no matter what quantity you buy.
