Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui 661. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Sansui 661 driver board, preamp/tone board, power supply board, and tuner board, as well as drop-in replacements for the two main capacitors. This does not include output transistors, lights, or fuses. If you need new output transistors, the correct replacements are MJ21196G and are available here. This kit includes the following: Driver board: 10 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film)6 diodes 10 transistors (Onsemi)4 trimmers (Bourns) Power supply board: 14 capacitors (Nichicon FW, Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Wima film)4 transistors4 dual diodes (Fairchild/Onsemi)4 diodes1 Relay Preamp/tone control board:10 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film)6 transistors (Onsemi) Tuner board: 15 capacitors (Nichicon PW)2 diodes Instructions These are extremely high-quality genuine parts, the same parts I use when I rebuild Sansui equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage. The two main filter capacitors are replaced with 3300 uf 35v Nichicon FW caps that will fit the board nicely. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your Sansui, but it’s pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. If you have a background crackle or hum, this will probably take care of it.
