6201 (12AT7 WC) JAN GENERAL ELECTRIC GE GREY PLATE TUBE NOS NIB (1971) *eTRACER*

Why Buy From Us?: Why should you purchase your tubes from Lakeland Music? We utilize a unique testing process, using a combination of vintage tube testers for shorts and gas checks, and precise modern testing equipment that is both expensive and time consuming to fully verify the meaningful electrical values of every tube we list. We also audio test every tube in one of our many amplifiers, both instrument and hi-fi, for sound quality. Our tubes may be more expensive than some big retailers, but when you work with us you know exactly what you are getting, dispelling the myth that buying tubes from eBay is a gamble, or that there is “only junk on eBay”. We’ve seen this opinion on hobbyist forums for many years, and took it to heart. We want to be the exception to this viewpoint. You are bidding on 6201 12AT7WC (JAN) General Electric NOS Vacuum Tube (2 Tubes Total Available For Sale 1 Tube Per Bid) Made in USA, grey plates, large halo getters, 1971 packing dates. NOS condition with beautiful flashing and clean pins. Very rare to see a 6201 “WC” variant with large getter, constructed for low noise operation and longer operating hours. U.S. Air Force version, these are the best 12AT7 ever made, and have been documented to be one of the only tubes that last in amps that tended to burn up 12AT7 tubes very fast. We use these in the phase inverter stage of all of our high gain and medium gain amps, which gives more clean headroom and less power amp distortion. This allows you to drive the preamp section harder, with more clarity and smoother harmonic content. We also use them in all of the Reverb stages of amps with spring reverb, which really dials back the over bearing “springiness”, and gives you more control over the total amount of Reverb. They are used in so many applications: – Phase Inverter stage on almost any amplifier, especially high gain amps. – Reverb stage on vintage amps that use a 12AX7. (Reduces overwhelming reverb). – Any normal 12AT7 stage, where you want the best possible quality tube. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Tube tested well above nominal on our eTracer & Hickok 800A testers. Values for plate current (mA), Rp, Gm and Mu are detailed below. Mu ratings are very well balanced, the most important value for preamp tubes. Corners test simulates natural voltage spikes under real operating conditions and tracks plate current variations. Tube #1: Triode #1 – Plate Current = 11.97mA Rp = 9049 Gm = 6660 Mu = 60.3 Corners = PASS Triode #2 – Plate Current = 12.47mA Rp = 8983 Gm = 6673 Mu = 59.9 Corners = PASS Tube #2: Triode #1 – Plate Current = 8.23mA Rp = 12394 Gm = 5584 Mu = 69.2 Corners = PASS Triode #2 – Plate Current = 8.71mA Rp = 11678 Gm = 5634 Mu = 65.8 Corners = PASS No Shorts or Leaks.Gm Nominal = 4000 Minimum Good = 2600 Thank you for looking. Note to customer: Returns: We provide a 30 day return policy for our items, as long as they are in 100% the same condition as when we listed it. Past 30 days, we cannot offer any guarantees a vintage item will continue to function. If you have a problem within 30 days, please contact us immediately so we can help you resolve it. Please keep any boxes, pins or labeling intact. If an item is returned altered, damaged, or different from how we listed it, we may charge a restocking fee depending on the condition of the returned product. Test Results: First, we test all of our tubes, in both a calibrated tube tester, and perform a live audio test in guitar, hifi and vocal amplifiers. Our testing practices are stringent, and have given us well over a decade of satisfied clients. Still we cannot guarantee exact test result numbers or data, nor can we foresee the results you will have using our parts in your equipment. Our recommendation is to contact us before purchasing so we can do our best to help you find a good match for your needs. We do not offer partial refunds or returns based on test data or test numbers. NOS Tubes: “NOS” is a search term many buyers use on eBay to search for vintage tubes. This is a widely criticized word that many electronics experts and hobbyists enthusiasts do not like to hear unless the item is brand new, sealed in the box. When it comes to listing as a seller, sometimes to match your product with a buyer who may be looking for your item, but doesn’t always know the proper terms to search, you must use the terminology most used by the buyer for the product they are looking for. Many tube buyers only know vintage tubes by the term “NOS” and will not type “vintage” when searching for what they are looking for. Therefore, when we list “NOS” in the title, we are only describing a vintage tube. When a tube is new in box, we will combine that with the term “NIB”, or “New In Box”. We will also list that the item is “NIB”, “NOS”, or “new in box”, when a vintage item meets a certain threshold of visual quality combined with test data for it’s age and type. This still may show signs of handling, marks, dirt, dust, rust, patina,or tarnish. This is normal for items stored for many decades in sometimes less than ideal climates. These items also have been understandably handled and changed hands many times over their life. This usually results in less than perfect cosmetic condition, but by no means indicates the item is used. Most audio experts are in 100% agreement on this. We hope this clears up the title term NOS for some buyers who have or will inquire about this. We are not trying to misrepresent our items, we are simply attempting to put our listings into the hands of those who want to see them. Performance Of Vintage Items: We cannot guarantee a vintage item will perform the same with or in your equipment as it did in ours, or that a vintage item will continue to function once it is used. We list our items honestly and accurately as possible, many times the items we are selling are 50-80 years old.

About: We found use for this product on any rubber items that have gotten stiff and hard over time but need to be soft for proper use. Being in the Powersports Industry, we primarily have used it on Motorcycle, ATV, & UTV parts with great success. Please read below to see Customer Reviews and the many other rubber items that this product has worked with. We regularly use Rubber Soft on Bushings & Grommets, Carburetor & Air Intake Boots, Footpeg & Hand Grips, Fork Suspension Dust Covers, as well as Formed Rubber Vacuum, Fuel, and Oil Hoses. Shown in the later pictures is an Intake Manifold Boot from a Vintage Honda 3-Wheeler. It was ROCK hard and unusable as are most nowadays. We soaked it in Rubber Soft for about 48 hrs, and you can see how pliable it is. It truly takes the rubber back to its how it should be. More Uses & Customer Reviews! Previously it was like hard plastic. I’m listening to the turntable now and it sounds great – good grip means no slippage and wow – wow or slow downs in the record change. I’m soaking my second wheel now.” “excellent product – works great for turntable idler wheels” “I bought it to try on my rubber jewelry molds. I have a lot of vintage vulcanized molds to make wax patterns and some have gotten hard over the years, I tried it on one ring mold that was hard to get wax out after pouring and it did soften and made it possible to use again.” (personal info not pertaining to this review was removed) “I used the softener to restore some slot car tires, worked great BTW.” “Items Softened-These are gaskets that go on the back of Exhibition and No. 2 Victor Reproducers. Most of them are 100+ years older and hard as a rock. Buying a new one is about $15 so if I can soften and recondition the originals it makes a rebuild less expensive. I had a few lying around so I tested how long to leave them in the solution for. 6-8 hours seems to be about right as any longer makes them too soft and they fall apart.” How To Use: Simply put the rubber item into an alcohol resistant container and fully submerge it in Rubber Soft. Make sure the container is sealed as this product will slightly evaporate over time. Check rubber item every 6-12 hrs until it is the desired softness. Then just Remove, Use, and Enjoy! For best results we recommend washing the rubber item before softening. Please note that it will soften, but it will not repair cracked or damaged rubber. CHEMICAL WARNING:Avoid Skin And Eye Contact!
